Within the next few days, Dash version 12.3 will be officially released by Dash Core, Inc. NODE40 will be testing the release internally for about 24-72 hours before rolling out to our customers. If you wish to be among the first eligible for update, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will give you early access. On July 10th, we will open access to all NODE40 customers. This stepped approach to updates has worked very well for our customers over the past three years so we expect this update will also proceed smoothly.
Please note that July 4th is a U.S. holiday and our support staff will not be available for assistance in migrating from 12.2. to 12.3.
For at least the next 3 - 4 weeks, both Dash masternode versions 12.2 and 12.3 will continue receiving payment from the network so there is no rush to be among the first to update your masternode.
When the option to update is available to you, the NODE40 Monitor page will display an update message.
What you will need to do
Your update path depends on where you keep your Dash. The 1,000 Dash for your masternode can be kept in the Dash Core Wallet, or a hardware wallet like the Trezor or Keepkey.
Details about how to update your masternodes are available in our Knowledge Base.
If you need assistance, NODE40 will be available for one-on-one help between 9am - 5pm EDT (GMT-5) Monday - Friday through chat. You can also schedule a screen share here https://calendly.com/screen-share/masternode-update
A note about rewards
During major updates to the Dash network, rewards to masternodes are not as predictable as normal. This means the schedule you are accustomed to may not apply until a majority of the network has updated.
Throughout support for Dash version 12.2 NODE40 maintained 100% uptime for all masternodes. Uptime is an important metric for masternode hosting. If your masternode is not online 100% of the time, you risk losing your spot in the payment queue.
