It's time to update to Dash v0.13 - Phase 1

Feb 05, 2019

Dash version 0.13 was released January 14th and all NODE40 customers are eligible to update. Unlike past updates, the Dash version 0.13 update must be done in two phases.

Phase One (available now)

The first phase requires all masternode owners to update their wallets and masternodes to Dash version 0.13 and issue a remote-start.

Phase Two (coming soon)

The second phase will require all masternodes to broadcast a special message to the network called a ProRegTx. We will send a followup email when the ProRegTx message is required. The release date for the second phase requirement is controlled by the Dash Core Group and not NODE40. Anticipated release is two weeks to two months.

Overview for Phase One Update

Your update path depends on where you keep your Dash.

The basic steps are as follows:

  1. Update your Dash Core wallet. Or, for hardware wallets like Trezor, update the Dash Masternode Tool.
  2. Update your NODE40 hosted masternodes from the Monitor Page or NODE40 Update Page.
  3. Remote-start your masternodes from either the Dash Core wallet or the Dash Masternode tool.

We will keep up-to-date and detailed instructions at our Knowledge Base.
